Maa Anjani is a very famous food joint in Mumbai and Pudla Sandwich is one of their signature dishes. We bring to you this Simple, Quick and Amazing recipe . It’s a delicious way to feed you family especially kids some healthy Veggies so do try it
Ingredients
Besan – 1&1/2 bowl
Bread – 2 to 4 slices
Onion – 1 small (chopped)
Tomato – 1 small (chopped)
Capsicum – 1 small (chopped)
Cabbage – a small portion ( chopped)
Beetroot – 1 small (grated)
Green Chillies – 1 to 2
Cheese – 1 cube (optional)
Turmeric – 1/3 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Carom seeds – 1/2 tsp
Chaat Masala – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil – 2 to 3 tsp
Butter – 2 to 3 tbsp
Water – 1 and 1/2 glass
Recipe
– To make the Batter, take a mixing bowl and add besan
– Now Add salt as per taste, turmeric, dhania powder, red chilli powder and Carom seeds
– Mix the dry ingredients well and then add little water and mix well
– Take care that lumps are not formed.
– Now Add more water and make a smooth Batter . It should be thick enough to coat the bread.
– Now on a Tawa heat some oil
– Dip the bread slice in the Batter on Place on tawa. Put another slice in the same way
– Keep both slices together as shown
– Now while the Batter is still wet Sprinkle green chillies
– Now put the Chopped Veggies like onions , Tomatoes , capsicum, Cabbage
– Now grate some Beetroot on top of it and Sprinkle Chopped Coriander
– You can add Grated carrot or any other vegetable of your choice
– Sprinkle some salt and chaat masala on the vegetables.
– Press the toppings with a spatula so that they stick to the battered bread
– Apply a generous amount of butter on top of the Veggies
– Now Flip the Pudla breads together carefully
– Press nicely and apply Butter on the top layer as well
– Let it toast for 2-3 mins and Flip again.
– On one slice of the Pudla add grated cheese and cover with the other Pudla slice
– The Pudla Sandwich is Ready. Remove on a chopping board and cut into 4 pieces
– Serve hot and Enjoy with Ketchup or Chutney.
