Now a days weight loss is trending topic everyone wants to look great and have a great figure but the only hurdle that comes in between is what to have for breakfast dinner and lunch as well so I have come up with another recipe for you guys that will help you not to think about the next day’s breakfast and it is also weight loss friendly recipes.
So let’s prepare sweet potato upma or shakarkand.
Ingredients:
1 cup diced sweet potato (Shakarkand)
¼ teaspoon mustard seeds (Rai)
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 cup coconut
3 red chillies
1 strand curry leaves
Salt AST
1 cup water
1 tbsp sugar / Jaggery (optional)
Method:
1) first nicely wash the sweet potato peel it and then dice it and keep it aside.
2) place a pan on the gas stove, pour oil into it and add Rai or mustard seeds and let it splutter.
3) then add the red chilles and curry leaves and saute.
4) After chillies are roasted, Add sweet potato and mix well.
5) Then add salt and mix well.
6) pour the water and mix well.
7) Add sugar (optional, u can skip if your potato is sweet enough) and cook it on low flame.
8) Cook till the sweet potatoes have turned soft and cooked well.
9) Then add coconut and mix well and cook till all the water has evaporated.
Our upma is ready.
