What is a 400 calorie diet plan ?

A 400-calorie diet is an extreme form of a very low-calorie diet (VLCD). It requires you to drastically reduce the amount of food you eat, usually to a maximum of 800 calories per day. VLCDs use meal replacements like drinks, shakes, and prepared food bars instead of meals for at least two meals a day.

VLCDs are meant for people who are very overweight and have been unable to lose weight after trying many diet plans.some people call these diets are dangerous as they have very low calorie count , but it depend son the count of days u take the diet.these diet are not for long run,u can do them for 2-3 days that to if doctor approves , it is very beneficial for people suffering from medical history.
A low calorie diet slows down the metabolism if prolonged for longer period.Intermittent fasting is not for everyone, and some people are unable to tolerate it.Although intermittent fasting is very safe for healthy, well-nourished people, it does not suit everyone.and should be done under nutritionist supervision.

Some people should avoid dietary restrictions and fasting completely. These include:
* Individuals with a history of eating disorders.
* Individuals who often experience drops in blood sugar levels.
* Pregnant women, nursing mothers, teenagers, children and individuals with type 1 diabetes.
* People who are malnourished, underweight or have known nutrient deficiencies.
* Women who are trying to conceive or have fertility issues.
