In this new series of healthy Filipino recipes, I will show you the meals and dishes that I eat now as part of my Pinay Fitness – some of the healthy recipes are healthy versions of traditional Filipino recipes while others are meals that simply give you maximum protein content for minimal fat content.
This healthy Filipino recipe is a very easy healthy Filipino recipe to cook taking only 10 minutes – its a 10-minute healthy adobo recipe.
As part of my Pinay Fitness diet, I did not count calories I simply cut out any sugar or fat-rich foods and replaced them with high protein, complex carb meals.
I also ate plenty of vegetables and fruit.
Another part of my Pinay fitness diet was to eat a good amount of ‘ good fats’ derived from coconut oil and oily fish.
I eat Salmon or Mackeral 2 or 3 times per week and often use coconut oil in food preparation to maintain a healthy diet and body.
Over the next few months, I will show you what I eat for breakfast, what I eat for my main meals, and what I eat for healthy snacks.
These healthy Filipino recipes are suitable for bodybuilders and anyone looking to lose body fat and wishing to get fit (healthy Filipino recipes for weight loss).
The ingredients for this healthy Filipino recipe ( Healthy Adobo Recipe ) are:
400g skinless chicken breast, sliced thinly
3 cloves of garlic, peeled and crushed
1 small red, yellow or white onion, sliced thinly
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 thumb-sized ginger, peeled & julienne sliced
Pinch of salt
Pinch of ground black pepper (paminta)
3 tbsp rice vinegar (used coconut sap or cane vinegar as an alternative)
3 tbsp dark soy sauce
3 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp water (optional)
We boiled 100 g brown pasta to go along with the healthy adobo
