Curd oats is a very simple to make South indian comfort foods with low calorie, filling and quick meal.
Which is perfect for breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. Yogurt and oats are excellent source of calcium and protein, oats are rich in fiber, these nutrients have been proven to raise the body metabolic rate and boost fat loss.
Here is the required ingredients for curd oats
Rolled oats/Old fashioned oats – 1 cup
Water – 3 cups
Curd/Yogurt – 2 cups
Boiled & cooled milk – 1 cup
Dry ginger powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Finely chopped ginger – 1/2 inch
Finely chooped green chili – 1
Black peppercorns – 6 to 7
Dry red chilies – 2
Cashew nuts – 10
Pinch of hing/Asafoetida
Oil – 2 tbsp
