This idli recipe is made of chana dal and brown rice batter and makes for a super nutritious breakfast.

Multigrain Masala Dosa

Ingredients
150 gm Chana dal (Bengal gram lentils)
100 gm brown rice
2 tbsp chili ginger paste
2 Dried Red chilli
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 sprigs Curry leaves
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp fruit salt
1 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp oil, for greasing

Method
Wash and soak the dal and rice separately in water for 3-4 hours.
Grind them with 1/2 cup water and mix to form a smooth batter.
Cover the bowl and let it ferment for 7-8 hrs.
Add salt, turmeric, chilli ginger paste and mix gently.
Grease the idli pan with oil and pour the batter in the pan.
Steam them for 10-12 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes before demolding.
Cut the idlies in 1″ cubes and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan and add curry leaves, mustard seeds and red chillies.
When it starts to splutter add the idli cubes and mix well.
Serve hot with sambhar and chutney.
