Recipe: Multigrain Butter Chakli
Ingredients:
Whole Wheat – 1 Bowl
Rice – 1 Bowl
Urad Dal – 1/2 Bowl
Moong Dal – 1/2 Bowl
Chowla Dal – 1/2 Bowl
Math Dal – 1/2 Bowl
Gramflour (Besan) – 1/2 Bowl
Adrak Mirchi Paste – 1 Tsp
Salt – 1 Tsp
Dhaniya Jeera Powder – 1 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tsp
Dhaniya Jeera powder – 1 Tsp
Sugar Powder – 1 Tsp
Haldi Powder – 1/2 Tsp
Lemon Juice – 2 Tsp
Fresh Cream – 1/2 Bowl
Butter – 2 Tsp
Water – As required to knead dough
Sesame Seeds (White Til) – 1 Tsp
Process:
1. In a pan, take whole wheat and dry roast on low flame for 3 to 4 mins, take it out in a vessel
2. In a pan, take rice and dry roast on low flame for 2 to 3 mins, take it out in a vessel
3. In a pan, take urad dal and dry roast on low flame for 2 to 3 mins, take it out in a vessel
4. In a pan, take moong dal and dry roast on low flame for 2 mins, take it out in a vessel
5. In a pan, take chowla dal and dry roast on low flame for 2 mins, take it out in a vessel
6. In a pan, take math dal and dry roast on low flame for 2 mins, take it out in a vessel
7. Mix well all roasted grains
8. Put mix in a mixer jar and grind to make coarse powder
9. Sieve the crushed powder
10. Add gramflour (besan) and sieve it
11. Add adrak mirchi paste, salt, dhaniya jeera powder, red chilli powder, dhaniya jeera powder,
sugar powder, haldi powder, lemon juice, fresh cream and mix all ingredients properly
12. Add butter and mix it properly
13. Add water as required to knead dough
14. Add sesame seeds (white til) and knead dough as shown
15. Grease the chakli mould and chakli plate
16. Put the dough in greased mould and close the mould lid
17. Make chakli as shown
18. Deep fry chakli till it is golden brown in color
19. Multigrain chakli is ready to serve
