Full recipe:
1.5 cup washed toor dal soaked for 15-30 min
1 cup washed quinoa soaked for 10-15 min
3 cups mixed cut veggies (potatoes, green beans, green peas, carrots, tomato etc)
1/4 cup tamarind pulp
2 tbsp bisi bele bath powder (spice powder mix, available in indian stores)
1/2 tbsp kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 tbsp salt
5-6 cups water
1/2 tbsp ghee/butter
Seasoning: In a small pan, take another 1/2 tbsp ghee/butter/oil once hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, dried red chilies, curry leaves, cashew nuts and asafoetida. Roast everything in low flame.
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well in instant pot. Close the instant pot lid and cook on high pressure for 5 min and NPR. Open the instant pot lid, add above seasoning and mix gently. Garnish with cilantro and serve while hot.
