3 breakfast recipes to try this week ✨
1. Banana Bread Baked Oats
Ingredients
1 banana 50 g (1/2 cup) oats3/4 cup coconut or oat milk
1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp dark chocolate chipsOptional
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Blend the oats to form a flour.
Mash the banana and mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl.
Place into a prepared oven proof dish and then top with the other half of the Banana and a few chocolate chips and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
2. Chocolate Smoothie Bowl
Ingredients
2-3 frozen bananas
2 tbsp cacao powder
1 tbsp almond butter
A splash of oat milk
Toppings
HIP salted caramel chocolate
Blueberries
Hemp seeds
Method
Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until completely smooth! Spoon into a bowl and add your toppings!
3. Banana Blueberry Breakfast Muffins
Ingredients
Makes 12
2 tbsp Milled Flax
6 tbsp water
2 large bananas
4 tbsp coconut oil, melted
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp almond milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
200g buckwheat flour
50g oats
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
150g blueberries
Method
Preheat the oven to 180ºC
In a bowl mix together Linwoods Milled Flax, Chia Seed, Apple & Cinnamon and water then set aside.
Then mash the bananas and then add in flaxseed mixture, milk, vanilla, melted coconut oil and maple syrup.
Then add in the buckwheat flour, oats, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and mix until combined.
Then fold in the blueberries gently.
Divide evenly into a muffin tin greased with coconut oil and then bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown
