Protein is terrific for your health. It can help you burn fat, support your immune system, keep your skin and hair healthy, provide energy, aid in recovery (from workouts or illness or injury), and much more.
Protein is so helpful that it’s a wonder it isn’t mentioned more often when we talk about good-for-you eating. And yet so many of us aren’t getting enough protein in our diets.
Protein, handsome prince of macronutrients. We eat it and drink it, supplement with it and inject it.
You need it to build muscle, to be healthy, to feel full after a meal… (And, okay … maybe also to get ripped.)
But what exactly is protein? And why does it do so many seemingly different things inside the body? In this video I’ll try to explain how protein fuels your metabolism, builds your muscles and at the same time keeps you feeling full.
But most importantly this video clumsily explains which foods offer the best protein sources for you and me!
Learning about nutrition can be overwhelming. One day we are told to eat fat, the next to avoid it entirely.
There’s protein for muscle repair, carbs for energy and insulin control, healthy fats for a free-flowing mind.
But where do you start?
That’s the beauty of making a dish like this one: it hits all three macronutrients with each bite, making it an almost perfect way to spread your nutritional love around.
All protein is not created equal. In this video we’ll talk about what lean protein is, why it’s so good for you, and some of the options you have outside of chicken breast or egg white omelets.
