Ingredients
Sesame Seeds / Ellu – 1 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Water – ¼ cup
Sukku Podi / சுக்குப்பொடி – A Pinch
Ghee – 1 tsp
Method:
In a pan dry roast Sesame Seeds until it pops.
Now add Jaggery & Water in a saucepan.
Mix well until its completely melted
Once the Jaggery is dissolved filter and remove the impurities.
Now again bring it boil.
Add a pinch of Sukku Podi and mix well
Cook until it is thickened and starts to bubble.
Pour little Jaggery syrup in water and make it to ball [This is the right consistency]
Now pour the Jaggery syrup to roasted Sesame Seeds and combine well
When the mixture is hot transfer it to ghee greased Plate
Spread the mixture & smoothen it with a spatula
Now cut into desired shape and serve.
