This beverage is a cooling summer drink from India made with unripe green sour mangoes. It tastes sweet and slightly sour and is spice flavored. This video shows the method of making both syrups concentrate and the beverage. The video is all about healthy make-ahead, simple, summertime drinks that can be put together with minimal effort.
This drink not only gives you instant energy, but it also protects you from sun stroke.

Ingredients:

Method 1:
2 Big green raw Mangoes (about 500 gms)
2 cups Water
1 cup Jaggery
2 tsp. Black Salt/ Rock Salt
2 tsp. pink Salt
1 tsp. roasted Cumin powder
½ tsp. Coarsely crushed black peppercorns

Method 2:
2 Big green raw Mangoes (about 500 gms)
2 cups Water
1 cup Jaggery
2 tsp. Black salt/ Rock salt
2 tsp. Pink salt
1 tsp. roasted Cumin powder
½ tsp. Coarsely crushed black peppercorns
¼ tsp. Chaat masala
1 cup fresh Mint leaves

Instructions:

To make the concentrate:
Clean the green mangoes in water.
In a pressure cooker, add 2 cups of water and pressure cook the raw mangoes for 2-3 whistles.
Once the pressure settles, remove the mangoes.
Let the mangoes cool down completely.
Remove the peel and keep the pulp aside.
In a blender, add mango pulp, Jaggery & Spices and blend it until smooth.
Blend.
Aam panna concentrate is ready.

To assemble the Drink:
Pour about 2-3 tbsp. of concentrate in a glass.
Top with 3-4 ice cubes and add the water in which the mangoes were cooked or chilled water.
Mix & Serve.
