Borscht made with sour flavors and topped with fresh dill/parsley and sour cream. It is usually made by combining meat or bone stock with sautéed or boiled vegetables.
Ingredients:
cabbage
beet
carrot
onion
potatoes
tomato paste
salt | pepper
vegetable oil to sauté vegetables
chicken thighs (can be beef or pork)
•boil meat till tender (used chicken thighs)
•add potato and boil till cooked.
•add sautéed with oil and tomato paste vegetables to the pot with cooked meat and potatoes.
•boil for 3 minutes, if not enough sweet and sour add a bit of lemon juice or vinegar (sugar is optional)
•add cabbage turn off the heat let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
•best served with sour cream-bread-fresh garlic or green onion! Enjoy!
