Ingredients:
4 slice of bread
4 tbsp ghee or butter
For Rabdi
450ml full cream milk
90ml condensed milk
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
For sugar syrup
1/2 cup of sugar
2 cardamom pods
Grated almonds and chopped cashews, to decorate
Recipe:
Slice the edges of bread and cut it into triangular shape. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the bread slices until crisp (Usually bread is deep fried to make Shahi Tukda but I’m toasting it to make it healthier). Heat milk in a saucepan over medium heat and stir it continuously to avoid sticking to the saucepan. Once it’s boiled, add the condensed milk (couldn’t get the video of adding it , forgot to set the camera properly 🙈). Keep stirring until the milk ratio is 1/4. When it’s creamy, add the cardamom powder and keep aside to cool. Heat sugar with 1 cup of water and add the cardamom pods when the sugar is dissolved. Stir it for a minute and let it cool. Dip the bread slices in the sugar syrup for 1-2 seconds and arrange it on a plate. Pour the milk over the bread and sprinkle the nuts over. Best eaten chilled!! Enjoyy!!
