To Make Ragi Roti

Ragi Flour – 1 Cup ( 250 ml )
Rice Flour – 3/4 Cup
Salt – 1/2 Tsp
Oil – 1 Tsp
Hot Water

Method:

1. Take ragi flour, rice flour, salt in large bowl and mix.
2. Add oil to the mixture and mix well.
3. Now add in hot water and prepare the dough. Knead it gently.
4. Cover the bowl with a lid and keep the dough aside for 10 mins.
5. Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into chapatis.
6. Cut them into a perfect circle with a cutter if required.
7. Heat a tawa and cook the rotis on a medium flame on both sides.
8. Apply ghee on the cooked ragi roti and serve them hot with any side dish of your choice.

Ragi, known as finger millets is a power house of nutrition. There are multiple recipes we can make with it especially when it comes to Indian cuisine. So this recipe is a main course recipe, an Indian bread made with ragi flour and a little rice flour (added for better binding) basically. I have tries to show an easiest possible method to make the rotis and cook them instantly. Follow this procedure for best taste and soft rotis. You can serve these with any side dish of your choice, but in this video, I put them together with some tomato thokku. Do give this a try and enjoy.
