I love making healthy and quick breakfasts that tastes delicious but are not very time consuming. This instant chilla can easily be made using very simple ingredients that are always available in our kitchen. It’s soft, moist and very delicious. Perfect for those quick mornings when you don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen. Along with this I have also shared a yummy chutney that goes perfect with this Chilla.
Ingredients
For Suji Chilla
1 cup suji/semolina
1 ½ cups water
¼ cup capsicum
¼ cup onions
¼ cup tomatoes
¼ cup yellow bell pepper
2 green chillies
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
salt to taste
½ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon cumin powder
2 tablespoons fresh coriander
oil for cooking
Ingredients
For Chutney
1 cup roasted chana dal
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
2 green chillies
1 garlic clove
1 inch tamarind
water as required
salt to taste
For Tempering
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 pinch asafoetida
10-12 curry leaves
