Located at Far East Square (and various outlets across the island, with the newest outlet at Marina Bay Link Mall), Bamboo Bowls offers a great variety of Asian culinary delights with a rather unique concept.
Its healthy and eco-friendly ethos drives the everything the restaurant does. For all of its specially curated bowls by renowned chefs, there is a city theme behind each of them. Take the Bangkok Bowl featured in this video, it is a creation by celebrity chef Bjorn Shen that mixes elements of Thai green curry with a healthy approach of using fresh and wholesome ingredients without any sugar added.
Despite it being a healthier version of the original Thai green curry, it is no less tastier! The gravy was fragrant and packed a nice light heat, while the chicken slices were moist and juicy. The combination of different ingredient textures also provided a nice balance of flavours to the dish. I will be back to try their other creations!
The bowls and cutleries are also biodegradable, adding a feel good factor for those who are environmentally conscious when dining out.
