HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE! 🍎 I’m all about convenience and achievability (is that a word? 😆), but making your own applesauce is actually super easy. And it’s a cost saver because pouches are only getting more expensive…💰Plus, using these reusable pouches by @choomee adds to the cost-savings and the sustainability factor is 👌🏼. My “crunchy” mom game is getting serious over here and I love knowing exactly what’s going into food that I’m giving to my girls. By making their applesauce myself, I am positive there is no extra “junk” or preservatives being added. AND by making a whole batch ahead of time and sticking them in the fridge, it couldn’t be easier to grab and hand them out. I did the math and these 8oz pouches come out to be $0.82 each. Mom win! 👏🏼

Directions:
1. Peel and dice apples
2. Fill large pot with about an inch of water and place steamer basket inside
3. Pour diced apples into steamer basket and cover
4. Steam apples for 20 minutes
5. Remove from stove and spoon steamed apples into food processor
6. Add water from pot into food processor along with apples. Amount of water determines applesauce consistency
7. Blend steamed apples until desired consistency is reached
