A healthy breakfast fuels a movement-filled lifestyle…recently, Dr. Spencer Nadolsky of SteadyMD suggested that Ben incorporate oats into his diet…after much experimentation, that suggestion has inspired the following Go-To breakfast: 1/2 cup of steel cut oats, soaked overnight in 1 1/2 cups of water; in the morning, bring the oats to a simmer; when they start to thicken, stir in 1 scoop of protein powder, 14 almonds, and 1 oz. of granola (we like Kind granola); when oats reach the desired consistency, top with toppings of your choice…Ben’s current favorites: a cup of Siggi’s yogurt and 1/2 cup of mixed berries. It’s not a grab-and-go breakfast, but it’s reasonably quick and easy…and fuels Ben for the morning walk/jog with the Labradors.
