Hey welcome to my channel my name is lindsay and today i am sharing some easy toddler lunches i filmed all of these lunches like at the beginning of quarantine so a while ago um my son who is two years old i had their daycare shut down obviously for

Quite a while so i was working from home with him and i just recorded a bunch of the super easy lunches that i was making him so that’s what i’m showing you guys today if you like this video please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel below

I make videos all about motherhood family food grocery hauls all that type of fun stuff and i’d love to have you subscribe to my channel so let’s go ahead and get into the super easy toddler lunch meals okay so the first meal is a hummus roll up some people call them pinwheels

And it is basically just a wrap that i put hummus in there are tons of different ways that you can make these check out pinterest you could do meat and cheese you could add veggies to this but today i had just made it just a wrap with hummus hayden

Actually wasn’t a huge fan but he really likes chickpeas and doesn’t seem to be the biggest fan of hummus and i serve this with reheated black beans i just had some left over from making fajitas for dinner one night and then i also cut up some raw carrots

And he is just two years old so i still serve these very thin this is matchstick style because a hard vegetable like this or a hard fruit like an apple is a choking hazard So i served this lunch to him and he happened to notice on the counter that i still had his breakfast plate sitting there which was english muffin orange and strawberry and he wanted to also finish that so it had been sitting out for a little while and he still wanted to eat it

And then he wanted more strawberries so he didn’t really focus on this lunch too much but he still ate a good amount i didn’t even realize until i was putting this video together that all of these meals are vegetarian and i don’t feed hayden a just vegetarian diet

It just so happened that these lunches were all vegetarian for hayden’s lunch today i am making one of his favorites if not his favorite lunch it is tomato soup with grilled cheese and he has been pretty regularly having tomato soup for lunch from like

17 or 18 months we used to help him with the spoon and now i mean for the past like six months he’s done it on his own he loves it every time he has multiple servings of soup he just loves it so much the soup that i use is the

Imagine organic it is just a garden tomato soup with reduced sodium um it’s always the one that we’ve used i’m never making my own tomato soup i don’t know if i could do that um and then grilled cheese i just use our whole wheat bread whatever we have

And some regular cheddar cheese and then i will usually put a veggie on the side of it too yeah he just loves it he loves dipping his grilled cheese in it so i’m gonna get that ready you coming your lunch when we made soup Is it hot you blow Ugh Yeah that’s okay oh no my feet look cleaner oh my goodness mommy clean no no no can you wait wait good we go mom you’re all done you want some water no no so for today’s lunch in pandemic day 6000 um i am doing avocado toast which is super easy

I do my avocado toast really simply i just obviously toast my bread and then cut open my avocado put some slices into it and spoon that out and then put that directly onto the toast and then i mash that with a fork and on top of it i add a local bagel

Seasoning which is very similar to the trader joe’s one but i’m canadian and i don’t have the trader joe’s one and this is just a local one that is really good if you don’t have a seasoning like that salt and pepper is really good on avocado toast so that is

Like the main part of the lunch and then along with that i am serving leftovers leftovers are a huge lunch thing around here that we do often if we have leftovers from dinner then i will often serve that and that is like the easiest lunch obviously so with

The avocado toast i am serving roasted chickpeas we just roasted these in the oven at 450 for like 20 minutes with a tiny bit of olive oil and salt and pepper and then this is just steamed broccoli leftovers so yeah super easy lunch avocado toast with Leftovers Do So for today’s easy lunch meal is nothing revolutionary it is a peanut butter and jam sandwich but it’s a really good easy alternative it’s healthy you’re serving a bread which is whole grains and a higher calorie food which you want and then the peanut butter is high in

Protein and a little bit of iron and i’m serving it with a side of veggies we tend to serve fruit uh with breakfast and then also as a afternoon snack sometimes yeah hi you want to see and so we tend to serve fruit in the morning or as an afternoon snack sometimes

Um so i always serve lunch with a veggie yeah so if your little one isn’t into eating that many veggies you could serve it with a fruit and then do a small veggie side as a veggie exposure hard to climb in there with your water bottle let me take this for you

No you’re gonna do that you do it wow do you want some dip just a little ranch to dip and some dip honey Do okay so for this lunch i am serving hayden eggs for lunch because we did a cold breakfast i just did cereal for breakfast and he actually didn’t really eat it so i’m assuming that he’s going to be quite hungry so i made him two eggs almost like omelette style

Um it’s just how he has been eating them lately and liking them so i just scrambled to eggs and then put it omelette style cook both sides and then put cheese on it and fold it over and it almost looks like a quesadilla and then i have cucumber here with it
