Hey guys welcome back to my channnel I’m making a very delicious parata recipe now parata is the name for an Indian flat breads there are many kinds of Indian flat Breads and I’ve shared so many of them already on my channel over the years but paranas are one of my

Absolute favorites because kind of they are layered and they’ve got many layers sometimes they’ve got just a couple of layers so you have to wait and watch how many layers this Pata has but I am making a chili and onion parata I’m keeping it simple you can eat it just

With some pickle or Chutney but this is a great parata if you want to serve it with a chicken curry or a dll or a subi I don’t know anything you like so all I need is uh some ATA which is chapati flour to start with and as you might

Have noticed already that there is a little bit of a mess in my background which is because I am making a delicious onion Masala chicken curry you can get the recipe for this on my channel so go find it check it out but right now I’m making this to serve with that chicken

Curry but as I said you can serve it with absolutely any to start with I’m using 300 G of water in a bowl so for the parata I’m keeping it super simple I’m going to use one red chili you can use a hotter one which is

Going to be like a Cai chili and I’m going to use a medium siiz onion and I’m going to finely chop both of these you can use green chili as well this is what I have at home chili you just need some form of heat added to it so that’s what

I I’m going to do and I’m going to I hope I have some uh coriander in the fridge get some fresh coriander and chop it up all finely so just a handful of coriander some green chili sorry red chili C and an on and now I’m going to just finally

Chop all of this together now to this flour I’m going to add all of this lovely mixture Don’t add any liquid before you mix it up really well and once you’ve added the mixture I also need to add some salt half a teaspoon of salt then slowly I have got here around 100 ml water only add little at a time like every other flatbread

Just going to throw in another 50 ml so that’s a total of 150 mL of water and that should actually it’s coming together nicely so that should be enough and we don’t even need to rest this dough once it comes together I can start making the PS so that’s the dough I have

Got some sunflower oil in here and I’ve got some flour my Chaka and Balon you can just do it directly on here with a normal rolling pen which is also fine this is the Indian rolling pin for flood bread so this should make eight patas let’s see so yeah that should make eight

Patas for sure so yeah so good for four people to each and you need a little bit more than your normal chapati the amount of dough is a bit more than chapati these are not extremely thin patas because they’ve got the onion in it so they’re not very easy to roll very thin

But I’m going to roll it into a circle first and then just going to add a drop of oops oil spread and then fold and then fold you can make them into chapatis which are obviously the healthier version this is also not too unhealthy but yeah um I don’t cook

Patas every day I cook Roes every day but patas are for kind of special meals make sure you press it a little bit before you start rolling and when you’re rolling these Paras make sure you don’t do big movements you do little movements because then you’ll get a even

Thickness of the parata so just little moments look at that that’s a hot pan cook for a couple of minutes on each side and in that time I’m going to quickly roll out a couple more And I’ve Got 5 minutes left on the chicken curry so I’m going to quickly prepare these onion patas now you can keep these vegan and cook in the same oil as I’ve put inside but I’ve got this uh lovely chili ghee that I’ve been meaning to use so I am going to cook

This in ghee I have to say patas cooked in ghee tastes different level delicious just look at That then some butter because water makes everything Better and here it is my friend’s onion para paska parata and it’s just I’m just daring it and it so crispy I don’t need anything of this that actually tastes so similar to what my mom makes so I’m extrem happy with that I really hope you’re going to try

This don’t forget to subscribe and let me know your thoughts in the comments I’ll see you back very soon with another new recipe look at that the crispness look The crispness of the edges so Good
