Low-Cal Shahi Tukray

Serves 5-6
Recipe in English:

Ingredients:

Prepare Rabri kheer:

-Doodh (Milk) 1 litre

-Khoya grated 100g

-Cornflour 2-3 tbs or as required

-Doodh (Milk) 3 tbs

-Canderel 1 & ½ tbs

Prepare Sheera:

-Water 500 ml

-Hari elaichi (Green cardamom) 6-7

-Zafran (Saffron) 1 pinch

-Rose water 1 tbs

-Canderel 3 tbs

-Bread slices 8-10

-Cooking oil 1-2 tsp

-Pista (Pistachios) sliced

-Badam (Almonds) sliced

Directions:

Prepare Rabri kheer:

-In a saucepan,add milk,boil it to boil and cook on medium low flame until milk is reduced to half while stirring in between.

-Add khoya and mix well.

-In milk,add cornflour and whisk well.

-Gradually add dissolve cornflour,mix continuously and cook until its thick.

-Turn off the flame,add canderel,mix well & set aside.

Prepare syrup (Sheera):

-In a saucepan,add water,green cardamom,saffron,mix well and bring it to boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.

-Turn off the flame,add rose water,canderel,mix well & set aside.

-Remove corners of the bread slices and cut into desired shape.

-In frying pan,add cooking oil and fry bread slices from both sides until its golden.

-Now dip pieces into prepared syrup.

-On serving plate,place bread slices and pour rabri kheer over it.

-Garnish with pistachio,almonds & serve!

Prepare Rabri kheer:

-Saucepan mein doodh dal ker ubal lein aur darmiyani halki ancch per doodh reduce ho janay tak paka lein aur bech bech mein mix kertay rahein.

-Khoya dal ker ache tarhan mix karein.

-Doodh mein cornflour dal ker ache tarhan whisk ker lein.

-Thora thora ker ka dissolve cornflour shamil karein aur garha ho janay tak paka lein aur musalsal mix kertay rahien.

-Chulha bund ker dein aur canderel dal ker ache tarhan mix ker lein & side per rakh dein.

Prepare syrup (Sheera):

-Saucepan mein pani,hari elaichi aur zafran dal ker ache tarhan mix karein aur aur ubal anay ka bad 2-3 minutes kliya paka lein.

-Chulha bund ker dein,rose water aur canderel dal ker ache tarhan mix karein & side per rakh dein.

-Bread slices ka corners nikal lein aur desired shape mein cut ker lein.

-Frying pan mein cooking oil dal dein aur bread slices ko dono sides sa golden hunay tak fry ker lein.

-Ab bread slices ko tayyar sheera mein dip karein.

-Serving plate per bread slices rakh ker upper sa rabri kheer dal dein.

-Pista aur badam sa garnish ker ka serve karein!
