Our Weight Loss Journey on myWW playlist:

Hello everyone Alicia here with another lightened up Weight Watcher friendly recipe and today’s recipe is an appetizer recipe for a healthier or lightened up buffalo chicken dip now this one is a great appetizer for game day or whenever you want to have an appetizer it is not only lightened up

But it’s high in protein and it’s also really easy to make so I want to share this one with you guys but let me first jump into to ingredients and I’ll show you what you’re going to need to make this first off I’ve got a pound of boneless skinless chicken breast I just

Bake this in my oven and then just shredded it up next up you’re going to need some low-fat cottage cheese I’m going to be using 23 cup of this and then you’re going to need some fat-free plain Greek yogurt you’re going to need a cup of

That for hot sauce I’m going to be using this Texas Pete and I’m going to be using a/2 cup of this but you can use whatever type of hot sauce you prefer I’m going to be using 2 oz of blue cheese in this now if you don’t like

Blue cheese you can sub this out with whatever cheese you want but I love blue cheese and so I’m going to be adding an ounz to the dip itself and then I’m going to be sprinkling an ounce on top so for the other cheeses in this I’m

Going to be using some of this reduced fat sharp cheddar 1/2 cup of this and then a/4 cup of reduced fat mozzarella cheese Chee so this is a 2% milk fat reduced mozzarella as is the sharp cheddar that I’m using I get questions on brands that I’m using you

Can use whatever brand you want on cheeses yogurt whatever ingredients you see me using uh but I did want to point out you are going to be looking for a 2% milk fat on both of the cheeses and then next up I’ve got 1/4 cup chopped scallions green onions you’re going to

Be using most of this in the and then reserving a little bit to garnish with or sprinkle on top and then finally I’m going to be using a teaspoon granulated garlic you can add salt and pepper to this if you want I don’t but that’s

Completely up to you if you want to add additional salt I think there’s enough salt and all the cheeses and cottage cheese everything else so I don’t but you definitely can but that is everything that is in this so let me get us started so first thing

Is I’ve got my oven preheating to 400 and then in a large bowl here I’m going to add in my chicken hot sauce half of my cheddar cheese that I weighed out my mozzarella cheese half of my blue cheese Greek yogurt and my cottage cheese most of my green onions again I’m going

To reserve just a little bit for the top and then a teaspoon granulated garlic and you could use garlic powder also so now I’m going to just mix all this together got this all mixed well so now I’m going to grab my casserole dish and

I’m just using a 9 by9 going to give it a quick spray with my cooking spray which I again forgot to show in my ingredients list but I’ll have it listed down below with the rest of the ingredients and now I’m going to just pour this in and spread it evenly in the Dish and I’m going to sprinkle with my remaining cheddar and I’m going to bake this uncover covered at 400 for around 15 to 20 minutes but I will be back once it’s done you’re just wanting to cook this until it’s nice and heated through and

It’ll be a little bubbly so I will be back at that point I let this bake for just about 20 minutes so now what I’m going to do is I’m going to sprinkle on my remaining blue cheese and my remaining green onions and then that is all there is to

This so I’ll go ahead let it cool a little bit and I will show you what I serve it with and give you points and all that good stuff okay I let this cool a little bit cut a serving out of it which I’ve got right here

That’s a nth that is a nth of the total probably just a little over a/ cup cup I would say but pretty good pretty good size serving and it is 2 points for that so what I would typically serve with this would be back here I’ve got some blue corn

Chips and then I’ve got just kind of some assorted veggie seere carrots celery sticks and bell pepper all those are good those are obviously zero point options to keep this lower if you want uh the blue chips back there I think those are four points of serving the ones I’m using

Are these guys right here Garden of eaten and they’re pretty good but that’s how I would serve this um I’ll grab my hubby see if he wants to taste this on camera and tell you what he thinks of it but he has had this before um but yeah I’ll go grab him real

Quick yes all right I got my hubby here it’ll give it a taste tell you what it tastes like going for the chip it’s still a little hot looks like so with the I got I got like heavy chip there oh so you taste yeah just taste

It so you can do the flavor profile just the um the dip so this is this is a little uh less Tangy than say a traditional buffalo dip mhm um so you get kind of a it’s it starts out real mild and you get the blue cheese it really tastes the chicken

There’s a lot of chicken in there and then you get that um the barbecue or the the hot sauce yep the buffalo sauce m mhm on the back end he so to me in my palette that’s it’s really mild um nice balanced flavor just real Pleasant you know and you definitely

Know that you’re eating a a buffalo chicken dip so it’s two points for that for that how much with the chips the chips are four points of serving obviously the veggies are zero yeah I mean that’s that’s something I would eat both as a meal or as a like a game day appetizer

Yeah I think this one’s don’t mind me perfect you get some in your beard I think this one’s perfect for game day appetizer but I mean that’s I like the protein amount that’s in one of my fa there yep good amount good amount of protein I had a little

Extra chicken I think then and um other recipes but I want all that protein all right that’s it I guess yeah I mean what what more is there to say there’s not a lot to say but hey yeah not like a lot of times the Buffalo it’s buffalo

Chicken right it’s buffalo chicken yes a lot of times that can just be overwhelming mhm this more subtle more subtle and and better balanced all right well that was healthier buffalo chicken dip thank you guys so much for watching and we will see you on the next One
