WHAT I EAT FOR LUNCH | Healthy and High Protein



Today I share what a typical high-protein lunch would be for me! Perfect for weight loss and muscle gain. As a Mom of 4, I love to focus on high-protein meals that will keep me satisfied for a long time and also help with my fitness goals. This meal brings a total of 35 grams of protein!! baby hey guys welcome to my kitchen my
name is Melanie if you have been
following my videos you may have seen
one of my previous videos where I share
my weight loss um strategy and how I
stay fit as a mama four and one of the
main things that I do is I eat a high
protein diet protein is the focus of all
of my meals and my snacks so I thought I
would share with you what a high protein
lunch would typically look like for me
and what some of the ingredients are
that I throw together one of the best
proteins that you can eat are eggs and
obviously eggs are a breakfast food but
if you can just boil up a bunch of eggs
say at the beginning of the week
and just keep them in the fridge you
will have a super quick and easy protein
source that you can easily add to any of
your lunches or you can just eat as a
snack but I just
quickly made some hardboiled eggs that I
plan on using with my lunch today and
I’m just going to peek in my fridge and
see what else I have in there that would
be high protein and delicious so let’s
do this
okay I think I have everything that I
need I might think of something in a
little bit that I want to add to it but
that looks pretty
good okay
so I
found
these wraps which are they have 11 grams
of protein in one wrap which is amazing
and they have really good ingredients so
I found these at Costco yesterday so I
was really excited to see these this is
the first time I’ve seen these ones so
I’m definitely going to make a wrap and
I think I’m also going to throw together
a side
salad I like this dill pickle salad from
Costco as well so I might do a little
bit of that
and I always try to up my probiotics in
any way that I can so I also like
Kela um so I’m going to add some of that
either on my wrap or on my salad I
haven’t decided yet and also have some
beets I think I’ll just add that in my
salad and I also grab this healthier
Mayo made with avocado oil and I also
like to
add hot sauce on everything basically
um it’s just like it’s zero calories and
it adds so much flavor so why not and
then I like things spicy so also have
some hot peppers
here and I might have a tomato I’m going
to add as well to my wrap

all right I’m going to show you my trick
for peeling the hardboiled
eggs so you just want to bang it around
and then you need a little spoon and you
just want to get
under that
membrane and you just slide your
spoon underneath and it just pops right
off look at
that easiest method that I have
found and then after I’ll just give my
eggs a rinse cuz sometimes there’s
little tiny pieces left of
shell all right

part my wrap is too big you do
it can do

there with the hot sauce and the hot
peppers it’s a good

combo how do you normally eat your food
do you finish one thing completely
before you start eating the next thing
or do you like to eat a little bit of
both at the same time I usually will
just eat one thing at a time before I
move on to the next but today I think
I’m going to switch it up a bit I don’t
know am I
weird am I the only one that likes to
eat one thing at a
time and I know a high protein diet it
can sound like it maybe an expensive
diet but actually doesn’t have to be
like eggs are not expensive and eggs are
like the best source of protein out
there so if you can just load up on eggs
that’s one way or even better just marry
somebody who hunts
because they’ll bring you home whatever
meat you want whatever protein you want
and a man who hunts
sexy am I
right I can say that about my husband
he’s pretty hot in a tree
stand Y and just random fact did you
know that Carrie Underwood is a
vegetarian and her husband is like
hardcore
Hunter he even has that brand uh hunt
and Ducks I think it is or shooting deer
what is it what is it their marriage is
looks pretty solid and that’s pretty
awesome that they can you know differ
with their food choices and still have
such a strong healthy marriage I think
that’s
beautiful I remember now catch and deer
yeah that’s it if you don’t get it the
reason why it says catch and deer is cuz
whenever you ask a hunter like did you
get anything if you’re not a hunter
you’ll probably say did you catch
anything but if you think about it that
really doesn’t make sense like they’re
not sitting in a tree stand like
dropping a net over the deer they’re
shooting a
deer oh so good all of this is to say I
love me some animal protein and I think
a really good source is Wild game if you
have access to it but if you don’t I
mean the grocery store is a good

alternative having a quiet lunch today
my uh
my 2-year-old is napping right now so
it’s kind of nice I get to just enjoy
this lunch in peace otherwise she would
be climbing over the table and
definitely reaching into my bowl and
grabbing whatever she can steal from my
lunch it’s my food come
on finish this it’s getting
soggy little
spicy woo a lot spicy very satisfied
with that lunch very satisfied now what
for dinner already thinking about my
next
