hi everyone today we’re making banana
bread so to start off we need three ripe
bananas a half cup of pure raw honey and
A4 cup of olive
oil 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and
one egg we’ll also need a cup and a half
of flour and a teaspoon each of cinnamon
salt and baking
soda so in this first Bowl we are
starting off with the wet ingredients I
am about to peel all of the bananas and
then I am going to mash them up and it’s
okay if there are still some chunks left
behind in the end it by no means has to
be
perfect and then we are adding the honey
this is actually a honey from St Thomas
Ontario it’s pure it’s raw and it’s
really
yummy and then I’m adding my olive oil
which is a cold pressed extra virgin
olive oil and it’s very strong but in
baked goods you can’t taste it and it
gives them a lot of moisture which is
nice I also added one egg and I’m about
to whisk this
up and then add your vanilla extract and
just mix it up really well and that’s it
for the wet
ingredients so we’re going to set the
wet ingredients aside and then come in
with another bowl and this will be for
our dry ingredients we have our FL flour
and I am using a gluten-free blend and
then we have our cinnamon salt and
baking soda and we’re going to mix this
up really well and then we are going to
add it to our wet
ingredients I listed this recipe as
healthy and if you are following a low
sodium diet I would say just forget
about adding the salt and it will still
taste very good probably a bit sweeter
though
and then scrape down the sides of your
bowl so that everything is well
Incorporated and we have a loaf pan that
is greased with olive oil and I am
lining it with a small portion of
parchment paper on the bottom so that it
doesn’t stick and I’m adding the entire
contents of the bowl to the loaf pan and
then we are going to spread it out after
so that it is nice and
even our banana bread back is all ready
so we are going to put this into the
oven at
350Β° f for 1 hour and you will see that
it comes out clean when you insert the
toothpick after an hour now that our
banana bread is out of the oven we are
putting it on a cooling rack for about
10 minutes and then once it’s cool
enough to the touch we can take it out
of the pan and take the parchment paper
off and then let it finish cooling
completely or you can cut it up right
away and serve
it this banana bread is so delicious on
its own but I really like to add butter
to it while it’s still warm it is the
perfect cozy treat so you can cut these
slices up and serve them like I said or
you can add them to a Ziploc bag and
freeze them and they freeze very
well this banana bread is really great
if you’re looking to cut back on your
refined sugars but still want something
a little bit sweet so I hope you try
this recipe and let me know in the
comments if you do it is so good thank
you for watching and have a great day
bye
