hey y’all
welcome back to my channel if you are
new here my name is kayla and
welcome so today i’m going to show y’all
just how easy it is to make homemade
jello it only requires two simple
ingredients
it’s delicious it’s good for you and the
kids will love it too
of course the star ingredient is gelatin
powder and similar to collagen peptides
gelatin is great for your hair skin
nails
leaky gut digestion your joints and just
overall anti-aging now the difference is
that gelatin is the cooked
form of collagen so it does have a
different texture and a different
purpose in the kitchen
gelatin is great to be used as a
thickener or a gelling agent so you can
use it to thicken up things like soup
recipes
or you can use it to make homemade
jellos which is what we’re going to do
today
now when it comes to picking out a
gelatin powder it’s the same thing as
with collagen peptides
you want to make sure that it’s high
quality and it’s pasteurized and
grass-fed i’m going to go ahead and
leave the one that i’m using in the
description box below and then you’re
just going to pair the gelatin powder
with your favorite juice now you can buy
a store-bought juice like i have here
just try to find one with no added
sugars and artificial ingredients and
all that
or you can just make your own homemade
juice if you have a juicer and by
pairing the gelatin with the juice
not only is it going to make it taste
delicious but it’s a great way to sneak
in extra vitamin c
which is essential in the production of
collagen and for boosting your immune
system
so as you can see homemade jello is
actually a really healthy snack for both
you
and your kids so i’m gonna head to the
kitchen right now so i can show you just
how easy it is to make so the first
thing you’ll want to do is add two
tablespoons of the gelatin powder to a
small bowl
along with three-fourths of a cup of
whatever fruit or vegetable juice you
want to use for this one i’m using a
peach mango juice
and just mix that all up until there’s
no lumps and then let that sit for about
five minutes to allow the gelatin to
bloom
and you’ll know it’s bloomed when it
looks similar to like a thick applesauce
texture
and then in a saucepan over medium-high
heat add
3 and 1 4 cups of the same juice
and right before it breaks a boil turn
off the heat now personally i like to
add in a couple tablespoons of raw honey
but this is optional then add in the
gelatin mixture and just continue to
gently mix that until it’s fully
dissolved
now i’m going to pour the mixture into
an 8×8 baking dish
and just refrigerate that overnight
and once it’s firmed up you can go ahead
and cut it into bite-size squares
and that is pretty much it super simple
and i’m just gonna repeat this process
with the grape juice and the cranberry
juice so that way i can have different
flavors
and the jello will last in the fridge
for up to five to seven days
but they’re just a great healthy snack
to have on hand for the kids
they’re super delicious and the gelatin
helps to support the health of your hair
skin nails joints and digestion so
really it’s a win-win
