PB&J Shake
1 frozen banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 tsp chia seeds
1 tbsp powdered peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chickpeas, cooked or canned
1 cup vanilla plant based milk
1/2 cup water
Blend and enjoy!
Apple Pie Shake
1 cup cubed apple (or 2 small apples)
1 tbsp quick oats
1/2 tsp pumpkin spice
1/4 cup chickpeas, cooked or canned
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 frozen banana
1 cup of vanilla plant based milk (or less for thicker consistency)
Blend and enjoy!
Carrot Cake Shake
1/3 cup shredded carrot (or 1 small carrot)
1/2 cup chickpeas, cooked or canned
1 frozen banana (optional for thicker consistency, but still delicious without it!)
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
2 medjool dates, pitted
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup vanilla plant based milk
garnish with pumpkin spice

so I am getting ready for date night and I just slipped into a dress that my sister recently gave me and my sister’s very tiny so I can assure you I would have not fit in this dress even months ago so I’m so thrilled that it fits and I’m feeling really [Music] nice a little bit bloated still from the surgery but not bad not bad it’s starting to go down hey everyone welcome to my channel I’m Stasia if this is the first time you’re Ling on one of my videos then my channel is all about my health and weight loss journey following a whole food plant-based diet so today’s video is going to be a little bit of an extra special one I’m actually all dressed up like you guys just saw in the intro there and I have a few reasons for that actually so here they are one I am going to be having a wonderful date night with my husband and two I have some very exciting news to share with all of you guys today so why not and three I have almost lost 60 lb oh my gosh that’s like hard for my brain to even accept and especially I just recently had surgery on my abdomen and so I am still quite bloated from the surgery I’m just a week out now um so it’s even extra hard to wrap my head around it because my tummy has not yet went down to its regular size yet so when you feel like your tummy’s bigger you just automatically think oh I’ve gained weight so I stepped on the scale and no that couldn’t be further from the truth so I am now down officially 57 lb oh my gosh I’m just thrilled about it I cannot believe it’s almost 60 lb so about a month ago or I think probably even closer to two months now I posted this video where I talked about how I had hit my first weight loss plateau and I kind of mentioned a few things that I would be doing to try to get out of that plateau and then a lot of you left a lot of really awesome suggestions as well in the comment box so I have implemented some of those things and I am happy to say that I am lighing out of that plateau and still carrying on with my weight loss Journey so at this point I probably still have about another 20 lbs or so for me to get to my comfortable weight I have never been one that I need to be like stick skinny or I don’t really even have like a specific specific number more like a range and I think once I reach there then I will be good but you know what things are always changing so maybe I’ll reach there and then maybe my focus will shift to toning things up and you know who knows but at any rate I’m so close to my goal now I’m super super happy that I’ve come this far and today’s video I have lots of exciting stuff to share so today’s video I’m going to be sharing with you exactly what I did to get out of that plateau and lose almost another 10 lb as well as I have three awesome new fiber protein shake recipes that I’m super excited to share with you guys so I will have all of those recipes later on in this video as well as I will have all the actual recipes posted in my description you how I actually got out of this plateau and how these shakes really helped me to do so okay so you know how the saying goes if it’s not broken don’t fix it right so that’s kind of you know the approach that I took to get out of this Plateau so how I lost the first 30 lbs was by implementing my fiber protein shakes and I know a lot of you who have been following me for a long time have heard me say this so many times over and over and I really had to because I really felt that they were a huge part of my weight loss Journey so if you’re wondering what the heck is a fiber protein shake well they are shakes that I personally created for myself on my weight loss journey to help keep me full as well as having something easy to whip up and something that tasted really delicious so I created some really awesome flavors for a lot of you who have my most recent weight loss recipe ebook which is this one here these are the foods that I was eating to get the first 30 lbs off and there is a chapter in that book that has seven fiber protein shakes they were the original Seven recipes that I used to get those first 30 lbs off and so there’s a whole chapter in that book and a lot of they are eating beans rank as one of the number one Foods in the blue zones so beans beans beans are something that we should really be giving a lot of attention to and for me personally on my weight loss Journey beans were amazing in terms of keeping me full so I know a lot of people in this lifestyle talk a lot about potatoes being you know the go-to starch and the starch that keeps them the fullest the longest well I did consume a lot of potatoes as well and I do love potatoes like the next person Beans really were kind of right up there with potatoes if not maybe even a little bit more now that’s for me personally I can’t speak for everybody but that was what was true for me there’s just something about the beans that when I consume them not only do I feel really full after eating them so I get that nice satiated feeling that we want especially on a weight loss Journey but it was shocking for how long they actually sustained me until I needed to eat again and that’s kind of where the power of these shakes came in so there is nothing magical per se about these shakes but by adding those beans as the main starch in these shakes they worked wonders when it came to weight loss for me so we’re not talking green smoothies here or fruit smoothies you know that are low calorie and that will burn off probably in like a half an hour and you’ll still be hungry for more these shakes can actually be used as a whole meal in themselves I specifically design them to be calorie dense so that they could actually keep me full until my next meal and here’s the thing I’m a busy mom and I know the majority of all of us are super super busy with our own lives our own things so these shakes quite literally are the best portable meal of all my meals that I’ve ever ever created the best part about them is that you literally only need about five minutes to make them so even if you are you know running around in the morning trying to get out the door to get to work or get the kids to school on time and you actually don’t have more than 5 minutes you don’t even have time to sit down and eat after you prepare something then these shakes work wondrous for that as well because you can just whip them up throw them in you know your thermos or whatever and you’re out the door and you can bring this portable meal with you and I promise you you are going to stay full until lunch or until your next meal whenever you have it in the day so I’m going to sum all of that up with say that the true magic Behind These shakes is really the beans they’re the star of the show because they are high in both fiber and protein and those are the things we’re looking for when we want to stay full satiated you know we’re not thinking about snacking in between meals and because of the way I specifically design them to taste almost dessert like you know that you actually look forward to having them so they’re not something that you’re choking down let’s say you know some people don’t like green smoothies for example if you have kale in them or you know something cruciferous and it’s just too much and you know they’re just gagging basically trying to get the Smoothie down these are nothing like that these shakes taste delicious my children even have them every day and they look forward to them because they just taste so good I have tons of different flavors you know birthday cake Snickers chocolate bar peanut butter cup chocolate brownie those are just a few to name off of the top of my head but that’s just to give you an idea of the types of flavors that I’ve created purposely so that we love these shakes and we can have more and more beans in our diet in the most easy delicious way so going back to my current weight loss of another 7 lbs since I posted that video that I mentioned earlier the reason for that is because I just went back to the drawing board went back to the original way that I got those first 30 lbs off and I started having one of my fiber protein shakes every single day again and the weight is starting to come off again even during my recovery from my surgery I was having a shake every single day day and my stomach was able to tolerate it perfectly oh and here’s the other thing if you are someone who has trouble with beans you know a lot of people out there who have digestive issues can find that beans are really hard to digest and that’s a real thing so here’s my suggestion with that always when it comes to foods that your your stomach is struggling with go slowly so instead of using you know the recommended amount in a lot of my shakes is about half a cup of beans you can always go more of course if you want especially if you want to stay Fuller longer or you can go less so if you are someone who is struggling you can even start with a smallest one tblspoon of beans or two tablespoons of beans and then the following week increase it to you know a/4 of a cup or you know you can just work your way up to the point that is most comfortable for you and over time your digestive system will get used to it and be able to digest it properly okay so I hope all that makes sense I really wanted to explain kind of how these shakes work because there is no magic to them I don’t believe in magic pills or magic potions you know to help us lose the weight if something is going to be a tool an aid to us you know in our weight loss Journey there’s always going to be a specific reason for that so I wanted to take the time to break down what that reason is specifically for these shakes and if you’re not sure yet about these
