When you ask, I deliver. This video came as a request from a Sherry on our Live Lean TV Facebook page.

She’s wanted to know how to include more fish into her diet, specifically a recipe with a white fish called tilapia.

Tilapia is a lower calorie source of fish, as it’s primarily made up of protein, with a little bit of fat, and zero carbohydrates per serving.

However, be sure to avoid all tilapia, or any fish, that is imported from China and Taiwan as it has been found to contain high levels of antibiotics and other drugs.

For this homemade fish sticks recipe, you can also use other healthier sources of white fish like cod, haddock, and halibut.

And the really cool thing about this homemade fish sticks recipe is that it reminds me of the fish sticks I used to eat as a kid.

The only difference is these delicious fish sticks are healthy, since we use all real ingredients, unlike those fish sticks from a cardboard box.

On top of all of this, these homemade fish sticks are quick and easy recipe to make! Winning!

So go grab the following ingredients and lets start making these healthy homemade fish sticks.

This is going to be good!

How To Make Healthy Homemade Fish Sticks Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 16 minutes
Servings: 2

INGREDIENTS:
– 1 tsp Coconut Oil (or avocado oil)
– 2 6 oz fillets tilapia (or any white fish: halibut, cod, or haddock)
– 1 whole egg
– 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese optional.
– 1/3 cup oats
– 1 tsp Onion powder
– 1/2 tsp dried parsley
– Dash Black Pepper
– Dash Sea Salt

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pre-heat oven to 375F.
2. Add tin foil to a baking sheet, then add 1 tsp of coconut oil on top, then use a paper towel to evenly grease the tin foil.
3. Add the tilapia fillets to a cutting board, then cut them up into strips to mimic the shape of a fish stick.
4. Add oats to a blender and blend until it’s fine like flour. Then add oats to a dish along with the parmesan cheese, onion powder, dried parsley, and the sea salt and pepper. Cover the dish and shake it up.
5. Crack and egg into a separate dish and beat it up. Then dip each fish stick fully into the egg, then add it to the batter mixture, coat it with the batter, then add it to the baking sheet.
6. Once all the fish sticks are completely coated with the batter mixture, add it to your pre-heated oven at 375F, and set the timer for 10 minutes.
7. After 10 minutes is up, flip the fish sticks and cook for another 5-6 minutes.
