let’s see what a turkey melt does to my blood sugar I’m always looking for fast and easy meals that won’t Spike my blood sugar and I’m hoping this turkey melt will do the trick I started out with two pieces of Ezekiel Bread some roasted turkey breast some gut healthy organic sauerkraut sliced avocado then I topped it off with some swiss cheese and put it in the oven for about 5 minutes at 350° and out comes these delicious looking turkey melts I’m hungry and these look really good let’s see what they do to my blood sugar all right it’s been a couple of hours since I’ve had that turkey melt let’s have a look at the glucose monitor to see what happened to my blood sugar you can see here there is a slight elevation this went up by about 19 mg which is pretty good this is a very well balanced meal it’s got a lot of fiber protein and fat and the sprouted grain bread is relatively low on the glycemic index when compared to regular breads so overall this is a great meal for my blood sugar and that sauerkraut is really good for my microbiome as well remember
