For us, PAANTA BHAAT is a regular at our home to get us through scorching summer days.

My family and I enjoy panta bhaat with a variety of tasty sides – maach (fish), begun chokha (mashed eggplant), aloo chokha (mashed potatoes), dry chillies, green chillies, and various kinds of bhajas and boras, raw onions and lemon…..uff the condiment options are endless, adding amazing flavors to the meal..🤤

Made by soaking leftover cooked rice in water overnight, it’s super easy to prepare. By morning, the rice has fermented slightly, giving it wonderful cooling properties.

This dish is a summer staple for a good reason. It hydrates, is easy to digest, and the fermentation process introduces beneficial probiotics that promote gut health.

If you haven’t tried panta bhaat yet, now’s the perfect time. It’s nutritious, quick to make, helps beat the heat, and is incredibly satisfying 🤗
