Ingredients 🛒:

1/2 cup Dalia (broken wheat)

1/4 cup Green Moong Dal (split green gram)

1 tbsp Ghee 🧈

1/2 tsp Jeera (cumin seeds)

A pinch of Hing (asafoetida)

8-10 Curry Leaves 🌿

1 Onion (chopped) 🧅

1 Tomato (chopped) 🍅

1 Carrot (diced) 🥕

1/4 cup Green Peas (fresh or frozen) 🟢

Salt to taste 🧂

Instructions 📝:

1️⃣ Prep: Wash the dalia and moong dal thoroughly. Soak the dal for 15 minutes.

2️⃣ Temper: Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add jeera, hing, and curry leaves. Let them sizzle!

3️⃣ Sauté: Add onions and sauté until translucent. Toss in tomatoes, carrots, and peas. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

4️⃣ Mix: Add the washed dalia and soaked moong dal. Sauté for a minute to coat everything in the ghee and spices.

5️⃣ Cook: Pour in 3 cups of water and add salt. Mix well. Pressure cook for 2 whistles on medium flame.

6️⃣ Serve: Let the pressure release naturally. Open the cooker, mix gently, and serve hot!
