Churmuri (or Churmiri) is a popular and simple puffed rice snack from Karnataka, often enjoyed as an evening snack. Here’s a quick and easy home-style recipe:

Ingredients:
• 2 cups puffed rice (murmura)
• 1 small onion (finely chopped)
• 1 small tomato (finely chopped)
• 1 small carrot (grated)
• 2 tbsp roasted peanuts
• 1-2 green chilies (finely chopped) (optional)
• 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves (finely chopped)
• ½ tsp red chili powder
• ½ tsp chaat masala (optional)
• ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp olive oil (or any oil of choice)

Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add the puffed rice. If it’s not crispy, dry roast it in a pan for a minute on low heat.
2. Add the chopped onions, tomatoes, grated carrot.
3. Toss in the roasted peanuts for crunch.
4. Sprinkle red chili powder, salt. Mix well.
5. Add freshly grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
6. Drizzle with lemon juice and olive oil for flavor.
7. Mix everything well and serve immediately to enjoy the crispy and spicy churmuri.

Tips:
• Add sev or boondi for extra crunch.
• Serve immediately after mixing to prevent sogginess.
• Adjust spices as per taste.
