Something different today! You may not know this about me but although I love to decorate, I am also a Certified Holistic Nutritional Consultant and I do love healthy recipes. So since I did say that once in a while I will share a recipe so here’s one I’m sure you will enjoy. It’s actually very good for your bone health as Poppy seeds are naturally good for supporting your bone health as they are rich in calcium.

And this recipe is even husband approved.

Lemon & Poppy Seed Drizzle Loaf
Cake
1 c butter
11/4 c brown sugar
3 eggs
21/4 c whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch salt
Zest and juice of 2 large lemons
1/2 c poppy seeds

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 4 mini loaf pans or 1 large loaf pan.

2. Whip butter and add ingredients in order as listed. ( I used my kitchen aid mixer.)

3. Spoon into loaf pans. Bake 50-55 minutes for large loaf, 45 minutes for mini’s.

4. For topping, mix 1/2 c icing sugar with 2-3 tsp lemon juice. ( I added ap few drops of cream to mine).
It’s a great source of calcium.
