“We Have Chipotle at Home” – A Low-Effort, Flavor-Packed Meal for lazy people

Ingredients:

– 1 onion, chopped
– 1 lb ground beef, ground pork, ground meat of your choice, or 1 block of tofu (your call!)
– Spices 1 tsp each (optional, but: cumin, garlic powder, chili powder)
– 1 (16 oz) jar of salsa
– 1 can of drained and rinsed beans (black beans, pinto, or whatever you have)
– 1 salsa jar worth of rice
– Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
– Salt (season to taste)

Instructions:

1. In a pot, sauté the chopped onion and ground meat (or tofu) over medium heat until the meat is browned.
2. If you’ve got cumin, garlic powder, or chili powder, toss them in now. If you don’t have these, you can skip this step while contemplating why you eat such bland foods.
3. Once the meat is brown and beautiful, add in the entire jar of salsa (just the contents, not the jar itself) and one can of beans (don’t forget to rinse them off if you want to avoid *extra* farting).
4. Fill the salsa jar with water and add that to the pot too. Then, add one salsa jar worth of rice. Stir everything together, cover with a lid, and let it cook on low for 18 minutes. Stir halfway through so it cooks evenly.
5. Once the rice is cooked, your meal is done! I told you that was easy. Feel free to garnish with chopped cilantro if you like cilantro.
