Are you in the two week wait and wondering what you should do to help with implantation? Here are 9 things to do:
1️⃣ Prioritize Sleep (7–8 hours a night)
During your luteal phase, your body is a hormone-making factory. Quality sleep helps lower inflammation and supports implantation.
2️⃣ Eat Nourishing Whole Foods — and Don’t Fast
Keep your blood sugar stable by eating balanced meals with fruits, veggies, fiber, and healthy fats. Cholesterol is the backbone of progesterone production — so skip the low-fat diet and fuel up on things like avocado, olive oil, nuts, and salmon.
3️⃣ Take Your Prenatal Daily
Especially folic acid — aim for 400 mcg per day. If your prenatal doesn’t have folic acid (or has methylated folate only), add it separately.
4️⃣ Choose Moderate Movement
Your luteal phase requires more calories and recovery. Swap intense workouts for yoga, stretching, walking, or light weights.
5️⃣ Stay Hydrated
Your blood volume starts changing early in pregnancy. Aim for at least 8 glasses a day.
6️⃣ Track Symptoms — But Don’t Obsess
Earliest you might detect hCG is 7–9 days post-ovulation. Until then, focus on how you feel without overanalyzing every twinge.
7️⃣ Manage Stress
Stress can influence your brain-hormone connection. Find what grounds you — meditation, journaling, time outdoors — and skip comparing your journey to others.
8️⃣ Follow Your Doctor’s Progesterone Plan
If prescribed, take it exactly as directed. Avoid random pills or herbs like vitex — they can do more harm than good when TTC.
9️⃣ Be Kind to Yourself
This can be an emotional time. Progesterone naturally heightens sensitivity, so give yourself grace and schedule high-energy tasks for your follicular phase when possible.
You got this!!! XO
