Texas Chili:
3lbs ground beef
1 yellow onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1tbsp garlic
(2) 15oz fire roasted diced tomatoes
7oz diced green chilis
8oz tomato sauce
6oz tomato paste
1C beef broth
1/4C ancho chili powder
2 tbsp brown sugar
2tbsp cumin
1tbsp paprika
1 tsp salt
2 tsp oregano
2tsp Worcestershire
*2 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water for thicker chili
1. brown meat with onions and bell peppers in a skillet (drain grease)
2. add all ingredients to crockpot
3. cook on low 6-8 hours
4. stir in cornstarch slurry if you want a thicker chili & let sit 15 minutes before serving
