Hi friends, this is my first video and hope it’s useful and informative for all the beginners who wish to make buns without the oven. Hope everyone like this video.
INGREDENTS:
Maida – 500 mg
Sugar – 1 cup.
Oil – small cup
Salt – as required
Milk – small cup
Yeast – 1 spoon
Pumpkin – 500 gm
White Sesame seeds – 2 sp.
Egg – 2 Nos. (optional)
Choco Chips – 1 tbsp. (optional)
Grated Coconut – 1 cup (optional if required for stuffed bun)
PREPARATION:
First peal the skin of the pumpkin and then steam it for 15 min.
In the meantime, dissolve the dry yeast in a cup of warm milk and keep it aside.
Mix the sugar with the grated coconut and keep it aside.
Then smash the pumpkin and add 2 eggs, milk with yeast, sugar and salt and mix well. Then add Maida / all purpose flour and oil 2 tbsp to this mixture and knead the dough well like we do for Chapati and rest for 1 hour. After 1 hour again knead the dough and rest for another ½ hour. After ½ hour take the dough and knead again press with your hand flat and stuff the grated coconut mixture and made into small balls. You can decorate the balls with Choco chips if required, which is optional. Then place the kneaded balls in a tray / vessel.
Pour 1 glass of water in a rice cooker / idly steamer and place the vessel in the rice cooker / Idly steamer and steam for 15 min
Delicious and soft steamed bun is ready.
