Besan Gatta | Gatta Curry Recipe

Ingredients –

For Gatta Dough –
Besan/Gram flour 2 cups
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Dry mango powder 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Carom seeds /Ajwain 1 tsp
Kasuri Methi 1.5 tsp
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Curd 1/4 cup
Ghee 2 tsp
Baking soda a pinch
Water as required to knead medium tight dough

For curry/gravy –

Oil 1/2 cup
Onion 2 medium roughly chopped
Green Chilli 3 medium chopped
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida/hing a pinch
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Curd 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Mint leaves 1/2 tsp (fresh or dry)
Salt 1 tsp or as per taste
Water or broth which was used for boiling gatta rolls. 1.5 cups
Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing.
