This quick dahi bhalla recipe is made without deep frying and is ideal for weight loss, evening snacks or healthy chaat lovers.
Ingredients:
• 1 cup makhana (foxnuts)
• 1/2 tsp ghee (optional for roasting)
• 1 cup yogurt
• Salt to taste
• Black pepper
• Roasted cumin powder
• Chaat masala
• Green chutney
• Tamarind chutney
• Pomegranate seeds
Method:
1. Lightly roast makhana in 1/2 tsp ghee until crisp.
2. Soak in hot water for 4–5 minutes until soft.
3. Whisk yogurt with a little water. Add salt, pepper, cumin powder and chaat masala.
4. Add soaked makhana and let it rest for 20 minutes.
5. Top with green chutney, tamarind chutney and pomegranate.
