As a first-time mom, I was shocked to find seed oils and weird ingredients in store-bought baby puffs. This easy recipe takes less than 10 minutes to prep and is so much healthier. Save this to try for your little one!

RECIPE:
1 banana
2 small carrots, steamed (shredded is optional, just quicker to steam)
1/2 cup oats (I used sprouted oats @onedegreeorganics )
1 tbsp ground flax seeds (optional, but great superfood, nutrient dense and high in fiber)
2 tbsp smooth unsalted peanut butter (optional)
1 tsp baking powder-aluminum free
1/2 cup water, add 1 tbsp as needed until you reach a thick batter consistency
1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Steam carrots until soft. I did an extra step by shredding it, but the carrots steamed quicker.
3. In a blender, add banana, carrots, oats, water, ground flax seeds, baking powder and blend until smooth. Add more water as needed until you reach a thick batter consistency.
4. Use a ziplock bag, fill it, remove all excess air, seal, the snip a tiny corner and make little dots on a lined baking sheet keeping a little space in between each puff.
5. Bake for 5-7 minutes until firm, but still soft to smush with your fingers.
Store in tightly sealed container for up to a week in the fridge. You can also store in the freezer up to 1 month.
Let me know how your little one likes these puffs!
