“Dal Pakwan is an essential breakfast recipe from Sindhi rasoi.The split bengal gram or chana dal is soaked and cooked to a buttery texture.It is then given a spicy tadka to give wholesome taste of indian dal style.No Tomatoes are added but if you like it tangy , it can be added.Also ghee is not used much in sindhi recipe of this breakfast.
To pair along this tasty dal a super ultra crispy indian flat bread is prepared with either All purpose flour or wheat flour as well.some people do add sooji to give extra crispiness.Carrom seeds is must.The pakwan is poked with fork , so that it does nor swell like poori.It should be thin and crispy to the core.
Finally chaat like chutney. mint chutney and imli chutney is poured over the pakwan with dal and served along diced onions and sev.
in street food usually the dal is watery but since it is homemade you can make more thicker and healthy by adding dal more.
