Soft Oat Flour Bread (Store-Bought Style) 🍞
Ingredients:
🔹2 cups oat flour
🔹1 cup wheat flour
🔹1 cup warm milk
🔹2 tsp instant yeast
🔹1 tsp sugar
🔹2 tbsp oil (I used olive oil) vegetable oil is also ok
🔹1 tsp salt
🔹1 egg
🔹Rolled oats for Garnish
Preparation:
Take a bowl and add warm milk, yeast and sugar to activate yeast. Wait for 5-10 minutes until you see foamy texture
Now add oat flour, wheat flour, salt, egg, oil. Mix it all gradually and knead it for few minutes until you see a smooth slightly elastic dough. Grease it with oil, shape it and let it rest in a bowl for 2 hours (cover it with lid or soft cloth)
After 2 hours the dough will be double the size. Punch it and shape it into bread loaf. Keep it in a greased bread loaf pan
Let it rise again for 30 minutes (cover it with cloth)
Give a nice egg wash and garnish it with rolled oats
Bake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes. Let it cool completely before slicing
