Chutneys are side dishes that are found alongside many favourite dishes of Indians such as Idli, Dosa, Paratha, Medu Wada etc. In this video we are going to show you how to make a tangy red chutney that is rich with dates, tamarind, ginger & garlic & a chatpati green chutney that has nutritious coconuts, coriander, mint & roasted peanuts.
Red Tangy Chutney:
Ingredients:-
3-4 nos. – Soaked dates
2-3 nos. – Soaked Red chilli
2-3 pieces – Soaked Tamarind
1 tsp – Sugar
1 tsp – Salt
2 tbsp – Roasted peanut powder
2-3 cloves – Garlic
2 inch – Ginger
Instructions:-
1. In a blender, add soaked dates, soaked red chilli, soaked tamarind, sugar, salt, roasted peanut powder, ginger and garlic.
2. Blend everything well to form a smooth paste. Add water if needed.
Dates chutney is ready.
Chatpati Green chutney:
Ingredients:-
Half cup – fresh coconut
2 tbsp – Roasted peanut powder
1 tsp – Salt
1 tsp – Sugar
2-3 cloves – Garlic
2 inch – Ginger
Coriander
Mint leaves
2 tbsp – Water
Instructions:-
1. In a blender, add fresh coconut, roasted peanut powder, coriander, mint leaves, salt, sugar, ginger and garlic.
2. Add water and blend everything well.
Chutney is ready.
