Chicken salad is any type of salad whose main ingredient is chicken. It is usually made with boiled, grilled or roasted chicken pieces, along with vegetables (lettuce, cucumber, tomato,radish, avocado, green chillies, coriander, onion), and mayonnaise or olive oil dressing. It is a healthy and protein-rich food.
Types of Chicken Salad :
American Style: Shredded chicken is mixed with mayonnaise, boiled eggs and celery and eaten with sandwiches or crackers.
Healthy/Diet Style: Instead of mayonnaise, lemon juice, olive oil , salt and various fresh leaves and vegetables are used in this. It is very effective in losing weight.
Main Ingredients: Ingredients that are usually used: Meat: Chicken breast. Vegetables: Lettuce leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots ,capsicum. Lemon, avocado , chickpeas etc.
Dressing: Mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar or yogurt.
