Matcha Cocoa Swirl Banana Bread — Healthy, Fluffy & Absolutely Stunning!
This isn’t your regular banana bread — it’s whole wheat, naturally sweetened, and swirled with matcha & cocoa for the prettiest slice ever. Soft, tall, and secretly good for you! 🍵✨
Ingredients:
4 ripe bananas
2 large eggs
½ cup apple puree
⅓ cup plain yogurt
½ cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp neutral oil
1¾ cups whole wheat flour
1¾ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1½–2 tbsp matcha powder
1–2 tsp milk, if needed
Method:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper
Mash the bananas until mostly smooth and set aside
Whisk the eggs until light. Add apple puree, yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract and mashed bananas, beat for 1 minute. Add oil and combine well
Mix whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture until no dry flour remains
Divide the batter evenly between two bowls
Stir cocoa powder into one bowl and matcha powder into the second. Add 1–2 tsp milk if needed to match consistency
Spoon alternating dollops of cocoa and matcha batters into the loaf pan. Swirl with a knife or skewer 2–3 times
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean
Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing
