Chicken Badami Shorba Recipe:

To Blanch Almonds:

Almond – 15 nos
Water – 1 Cup + ¼ Cup

Soup:

Chicken (boneless & cut into cubes) – 200 grams
Water – 2 ½ Cups
Salt – ¾ tsp
Butter – 2 tbsp
Garlic (finely chopped) – 4 Cloves
Maida – 1 tbsp
Coconut Milk – ½ Cup
Black Pepper Powder – ¾ tsp
Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp

Cooking Instructions:

1. Heat a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

2. Add the almonds and cook them for 1 minute. Remove from the heat.

3. Drain the almonds immediately and rinse them with cold water.

4. Peel the almond skin. Grind the Almonds with ¼ cup of water into a smooth paste.

5. In a pan, add the chicken, 2 ½ cups of water, ¾ tsp of salt, cover, and cook it for 3 mins.

6. Remove the foam from the chicken stock to remove the impurities.

7. Remove from the heat and transfer it to a bowl along with the chicken stock water.

8. Heat butter in a pan, add garlic and saute for a minute.

9. Add maida and mix well without any lumps for a few seconds.

10. Add the ground almond paste and saute till the water is absorbed.

11. Add the cooked chicken along with the stock, cover, and simmer this for 6 minutes.

12. Add the coconut milk and simmer for 2 more minutes. Add black pepper powder, coriander leaves and mix well.

13. Remove from the heat and serve.
