Panna Cotta is one of those beautifully light, perfectly sweet desserts that is not too rich or heavy and has a lovely freshness to it.
Panna cotta means ‘cooked cream’ in Italian and that’s essentially exactly what it is. A few simple ingredients – the main one of course being cream!
Now just 100ml of cream comes in at a whopping 347 calories.
(In other words – you may want to skip it on the Starbucks caramel frappe 🥤😂)
So even this seemingly ‘safe’ dessert therefore packs in around 507 calories for a standard serving. Pretty unsuspecting right?
Well your girl didn’t want you to miss out on this wonderful Italian favourite – so I got to work in the LEAN GIRL Kitchen and managed to create a lean girl version that is not only half the calories but also packed with 22g!!
I must say that I may just love the lean girl version more than the original! Bold statement I know 😜 But you’ll have to give it a go to see what I mean! The traditional panna cotta is very mild on flavour – and the LG version has a little more ‘oomph’!
