In this show, I am duplicating a healthy Vegan Chickpea Pizza that was featured on the Cooking with Pete cooking show on YouTube. You may already be familiar with Pete from his Vegan Life Channel (link at the bottom of this page), if you’re not you need to check it out, it’s an awesome channel, even if your not practicing the Vegan lifestyle.

I was challenged by Pete to see if I could duplicate his recipe and prove how easy it is, and that anybody can do… so it’s on! In this episode of the Coffee with Pips Show, I accept the challenge and you’ll be surprised at the outcome.

Vegan Chickpea pizza | High protein, low calories.

Recipe:
Chickpea base.
1 1/2 cups of chickpea flour mixed with 1 1/2 cups of water. (Ingredients are 1:1 so you can adjust them if you wish to make a bigger or smaller base.
Spices I use -salt, pepper, chilli, garlic and onion powder
Blend and bake in the over 15/20 minutes on 375F

Tofu sauce – Pete only used a quarter on his pizza
1 block tofu
1/2 cup mylk
Nutritional yeast
chilli powder optional

When base is ready add tomato puree, tofu sauce and all your favourite toppings.
Place back in the oven 375F for 5/10 minutes or golden brown.
