I hope you’re ok, need healthy snack ideas? I’ve got you!!!! Food is food and nothing is good or bad, it’s your choice what you want to eat and when.

These are my favs, make sure you watch till the very end!!!!!!

Recipe for my Hummus, you could easily get 3 portions out of this.

A can of drained chick peas
The juice of 1 lemon
2 chopped garlic cloves
1 tbs of light tahini paste (game changer & worth it!) 4.5 syns (1.5 syns per portion)
2 heaped TBS of fat free greek yogurt
Salt and Pepper
Then water, I added bit in the blender before adding the other ingredients. Then just blend to your desired consistency. Sooooo good!!!!!!!

Calorie wise per portion it’s 121 and very filling and a good source of fibre too.

Fresh fruit is syn free, some are speed foods and some aren’t. Check your books. In terms of calories it depends how much you have but things like blueberries, melon, strawberries etc are lower than bananas, mango, pineapple and so on. You can use your tracking apps to weigh and count the portions you have.

Dried fruit is syns/HEB & higher calorie, but I love them and it’s a healthy snack! 25g is 3 syns or 55g is a HEB. Don’t forget you can spilt your B choices in half too. This is a top tip for snacks!!!!!!!! 30g is 74kcals.

Peanut butter is an average of 1.5 syns per level tsp or approx 31 kcal. Tbs is around 94. You can get low fat ones or powders too.

Alpen lights and benefits bars are 3 syns or 2x HEB

Fibre one bars are 4 syns 83 kcal for the brownie one

Protein bars range from 190 kcal to around 230 calories but they are VERY filling and taste amazing! I’d rather have these than chocolate. 10-12 syns on average

Skinny Whips 4.5 syns / around 96 kcal deepening on flavour

Melba toast is 20g is 76Kcals or 4 syns

Rye cakes are 6 for the multi grain ones as a HEB or 1 syn each.
Ryvitas are also a HEB please do check your books or the app/website

Cheese is a HEA

Fat free cottage cheese is free if plain and it’s low calorie too.1/4 pot 46kcal

This Granola is syns and not a HEB but you can choose one that is.

Chicken and meat is free if you remove the fat. White meat and things like white fish and prawns are lower calorie options.

Plain fat free yogurts are free. Flavoured ones are low syn, check the ones you choose.

Options is 1.5/2 syns for a sachet or use protein powder at 20 calories for 1 syn.

Eggs, tuna and beans are free.

Vegetables are free foods and low calorie, these are a fantastic snack!!!!! Some are better than others ie the speed food options. So carrots, peppers, cucumbers etc and sweetcorn, peas, potatoes and parsnips are slightly higher and not a speed food.
