ingredients:
1 cup moong dal
3-4 green chilies
1/2 inch ginger
1 grated carrot
1onion chopped
handful of chopped cilantro
1/4tsp baking powder
1/2 lemon
steps:
1. soak moong dal for 3-4hrs or overnight
2. add green chilies and ginger slices salt as per taste 1/4 cup water to moong dal and grind to smooth batter
3. add 1/4tsp baking powder and squeeze half lime and mix
4. add grated carrot, onion chopped and cilantro and mix
5. transfer to bowl and steam cook for 10-12min
6. allow it to cool and slice
7. heat pan add 2tsp oil and 1/2tsp mustard seeds,1/2 tsp chat masala and fry the steamed pieces
